The girl in the sleeping bag

I was in London to run the marathon. I decided the day before the race to go out onto the street to try street photography. I noticed this young girl from across the street and with my 200mm lens I started to shoot frames of her. She noticed me and didnt like for one second what I was doing. She kicked off big time. I was truly embarrassed. I was left facing the decision to turn and run….or go over and talk to her. I chose the latter. I spent a couple of hours just listening to what she had to say. I didnt know it at the time, but this encounter was to shape everything I have ever done photographically since. She literally changed my life.
